Travellers are encouraged to fill it in online before travel. The official notice does not give an exact deadline, so please check the official portal for the latest timing guidance before you travel.
You can complete it online before travel via the official NIA portal (s.nia.gov.cn), the NIA 12367 mobile app, or the WeChat and Alipay mini programs.
If you have not completed it in advance, you can still complete it at the port of entry using self-service devices or a paper card.
